Properties ranked by permit recency and neighborhood income
Free, official open-data endpoints. Everything runs in your browser — no server, no API keys.
Checked directly against Grand Rapids' public data catalog: no permits API exists there. Grand Rapids (like most Michigan cities) runs permits through Accela Citizen Access, a lookup-only portal with no bulk endpoint — the same situation as the BS&A townships below. The reliable path is the same: a short records request to the city, then CSV import.
Most Michigan municipalities — including Central Michigan townships — publish permit records through BS&A Online. It's a lookup portal, not an API, so don't scrape it. The reliable route: send the clerk a short records request (Michigan FOIA) asking for a building-permit export as CSV/Excel — most will email it, often free. Then import it below and it flows into the same scoring.
CSV needs columns for address and issue date; type/description, city and ZIP are used when present.
